This gathering was attended by many notable celebrities, including Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, Shabana Azmi, Jackie Shroff, and Sidharth Malhotra, among others. On the same day, Hema and her daughters conducted a puja at their residence. Celebrities such as Mahima Chaudhry and Sunita Ahuja, accompanied by her son Yashvardhan, were in attendance. Esha's ex-husband Bharat was also present. Hema and her daughters, Esha and Ahana, did not attend the prayer meeting in Mumbai for unknown reasons. Dharmendra married Prakash in 1954, and they had four children together. He later married Hema in 1980, and they have two children. The veteran actor passed away on November 24 at the age of 89, shortly before his 90th birthday on December 8. He had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital earlier in November. The delay came after Eros International filed a legal suit against Akhanda 2 producers, claiming that dues of nearly Rs 28 crore from an earlier arbitral agreement were still unpaid. The court prevented the film from hitting theatres on December 5, 2025.          Akhanda 2 team to address bottlenecks     This is the first time in recent memory that a star hero’s film has been postponed after it came close to release – the development left fans deeply disappointed. Balakrishna, who was eager to present the film to audiences, reportedly felt helpless in the situation, as everything was ready for the grand release. The postponement has not only affected fans but also theatre owners, distributors and the entire team who worked tirelessly to complete the film on time. To resolve the crisis, the core team, Balakrishna, director Boyapati Srinu and a few industry bigwigs are holding a meeting on Monday to assess the next steps. According to industry buzz, the team is trying hard to fix the situation quickly so that the film can arrive in cinemas without further delay.          December 12 new release date?     The latest talk suggests that they are planning to target December 12 as the new release date, subject to legal clearance. Reports also say that both Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu have agreed to give up a portion of their remuneration to help the producers settle the dues and ease out the financial burden. The move has won admiration from fans and industry members, as it shows their commitment to the film and the people who backed it.
